VISION INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS

Machine intelligence for equine biomechanics

We develop computer vision systems for equine biomechanics, sport analytics, and movement intelligence from single-camera video.

About

Vision Intelligence Systems applies computer vision to real-world equine footage to extract biomechanical and sport-intelligence metrics. We help riders, trainers, veterinarians, researchers, sport organizations, and media platforms make horse movement more measurable, comparable, and interpretable.

Areas of work

Areas we are exploring

01

Showjumping intelligence

Video-based movement and performance analysis for competition, training, media, and sport analytics.

02

Dressage and movement quality

Objective support for analysing rhythm, symmetry, movement quality, and longitudinal development.

03

Veterinary and welfare applications

Partner-led development around movement asymmetry, welfare monitoring, pain-related visual signals, and clinical research workflows.

04

Talent scouting and young horse development

Tools for tracking movement characteristics over time and supporting more objective evaluation.

05

Racing and high-speed locomotion

Exploratory work on high-speed equine movement, race dynamics, and performance indicators.

Collaboration

Built with design partners,
not in isolation

We collaborate with selected organizations and domain experts to define useful, reliable, and operationally realistic video intelligence systems. Our current focus is on partner integrations, applied research, and workflows where single-camera video can create practical value.

We are especially interested in conversations with:

  • Equestrian media platforms
  • Competition organizers
  • Veterinary researchers and clinics
  • Welfare researchers
  • Professional riders and trainers
  • Scouting and sales organizations
  • Technology companies in equestrian sport
  • Equestrian federations

Philosophy

Our approach

Build for real-world video Equine footage is rarely perfect. We build for moving cameras, changing angles, occlusion, variable lighting, and real competition or training environments.
Start with the problem We are technology-driven, but every system starts with a concrete equine, veterinary, sport, welfare, or media question worth solving.
Measure beyond the human eye Experienced horse people see a lot. Computer vision can help reveal patterns, comparisons, and changes that are difficult to judge consistently by eye alone.
Underpromise, validate, improve We prefer careful claims, structured validation, and iterative improvement over inflated promises.
Keep the output useful Advanced computer vision only matters if the result is understandable, actionable, and simple enough to use in practice.
